–The Reds won!!!

–With the game tied at 3 in the ninth inning, Jay Bruce delivered a bases-loaded double, scoring three and giving the Reds the winning margin.

–Joey Votto reached base four times, going 2-3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored. Scott Rolen and Drew Stubbs also collected a couple of hits each.

–Francisco Cordero pitched a perfect ninth for the save.

–Brandon Phillips only had one hit, but it was a huge one: a two-run double that tied the game at 3.

NEGATIVES
–None! The Reds won!!!

NOT-SO-RANDOM THOUGHTS
–The Reds won!!!

–That was the first win in nine games against Philadelphia. Perhaps more importantly, the victory snapped Cincinnati’s six-game losing streak.

–Johnny Cueto was okay. Six innings, three runs allowed on seven hits.

–CoCo’s ERA is down to 1.69. Contract year, anyone?
