Minor League Player of the Day: Alex Buchholz (Bakersfield) 1-4, homerun, 3 RBI

Buffalo 6 – Louisville 1
Juan Francisco had 2 of the Bats 6 hits.  He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a strikeout.  Michael Griffin went 1-2 with a double and scored the only Louisville run.

Chad Reineke pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits and 1 walk.  He picked up the loss to fall to 4-2 on the season.  Joesph Krebs’ struggles continued as he allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings of relief.  His ERA is now at 6.91.

Mobile 6 – Carolina 1
James Skelton had a double in 3 at-bats.  The hit accounted for one-third of the Mudcats total hits.  Skelton also drove in the lone Mudcats RBI.

The game was tied at 1-1 going to the bottom of the 8th, but then Lee Tabor allowed 5 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in his lone inning of relief to pick up the loss.  He is now 0-2 with an 8.84 ERA.

Bakersfield 7 – Modesto 4
Alex Buchholz homered in 4 plate appearances, driving in 3 RBI.  Stephen Hunt also homered, drivign in 2 RBI. Henry Rodriguez added a double and 2 RBI.  Eric Campbell reached base 3 times thanks to 3 bases on balls.  He also scored a run.

Curtis Partch struck out 7 in 6.2 innings pitched, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks.  His record improved to 2-4 ont he season.  Scott Gaffney picked up his 2nd save of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th.  He struck out 2.

The Dragons had a scheduled day off on Monday.
