Rochester 8 – Louisville 1
Todd Frazier went 3-4 with 2 doubles.  Yonder Alonso had a double in 5 at-bats and drove in the lone Bats RBI.

Scott Carroll gave up 7 runs on 9 hits and 5 walks in 5 innings pitched.  He struck out 3 and dropped to 1-1 on the season.  Jose Arredondo allowed an unearned run on 3 hits and a walk in 2 innings pitched.  He struck out 3.

Birmingham 7 – Carolina 6
David Cook 3-5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and an RBI.  Quintin Berry and Mike Costanzo went 2-4 each.  Berry scored twice while Costanzo had a triple, scored a run, and drove in 2 RBI. 

Lee Tabor picked up the loss by allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 2 hits and 2 walks in 1 inning of relief.

Visalia 2 – Bakersfield 1
Ryan LaMarre went 3-4 and scored the lone Blaze run.  The Blaze managed only 5 hits for the game.

Pedro Villarreal went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits and a walk.  Villarreal did not factor into the decision. Clayton Schunick picked up the loss in relief by allowing a run on 2 hits in an inning of work.

Dayton 4- Lake County 2
Billy Hamilton went 2-4 with a double, walk, and a stolen base. The stolen base was his 24th of the season.  David Vidal went 1-3 and hit his 3rd homerun of the season.  Redleg Nation’s spotlight player Tucker Barnhart had a hit and drove in 2 RBI.  Every Dragon’s player had a hit in this contest.

Daniel Corcino pitched 5.2 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6.  He is now 5-2 on the season with a 3.31 ERA.
