Minor League Player of the Day: Dave Sappelt (Louisville) 3-5, double, triple, RBI.

Louisville 4 – Columbus 2
Dave Sappelt went 3-5 with a double, triple, and an RBI.  He is now batting .345 on the season in 55 at-bats.  Yonder Alonso went 2-4 with a double. 

Chad Reineke allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings pitched.  Reineke is now 3-0 with a 2.04 ERA in 17.2 innings pitched.  Carlos Fisher recorded his 4th save of the season by recording the final 4 outs of the game.  Fisher walked 1 and struck out 1.

Tennesse 6 – Carolina 2
Mike Costanzo homered for the 2nd straight game.  He went 1-3 with an RBI, run scored, and a walk.  Kyle Day had a single and a double in 3 at-bats.

Justin Lehr was roughed up to the tune of 4 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 3.1 innings pitched.  He dropped to 0-1 on the season with a 10.80 ERA.

Modesto 4 – Bakersfield 2
Josh Fellhauer went 3-5 with a solo homerun, his 2nd homer of the season.  Fellhauer is batting .400 in 50 at-bats thus far.  Carlos Mendez had 2 hits in 4 at-bats, one of which was a double.  He’s now batting .302.

Curtis Partch allowed 4 runs, all unearned, on 7 hits and 2 walks in 7.1 innings pitched.  Three Bakersfield errors cost Partch a potential win.  He struck out 4, but his record dropped to 0-2 with a 3.78 ERA.

Dayton 7 – Bowling Green 2
Donald Lutz went 3-4 with 2 singles, a double, a run scored, and an RBI.  Jefry Sierra went 2-4 with a single, triple, and 2 runs scored.  Devin Lohman went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. 

Redleg Nation spotlight player Tucker Barnhart went 1-4 with a double and an RBI. 

Billy Hamilton only had 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but made it his 1st homerun of the season.  The homerun was of the inside-the-park variety.  Someone tweeted last night that Hamilton has 3 career homeruns, 2 of which were inside-the-park homeruns.
