–I had intended to write a full recap, with analysis of the whole game — especially that brilliant decision to bunt in the ninth, thereby wasting one of just three precious outs remaining — but I don’t have the heart. The Reds are playing poorly right now, and I’m not particularly enthused about the recent play.
This is still a good team, and they had terrible stretches last year, so there’s no real reason to be concerned. Yet. Either way, they aren’t fun to watch these days. Therefore (sorry, preach):
