Admittedly, I don’t follow other teams as closely as I follow our beloved Redlegs, but it really seems like the Reds do a pretty good job of keeping fans excited in the off-season. Last month, of course, was Redsfest; now it’s time for the Winter Caravan:
One of the biggest buzz builders to get fans ready for the upcoming season, the 2011 edition of Reds Winter Caravan is planned for Jan. 27-30.
The caravan, presented by CincinnatiUSA.com, will make 15 stops in four states while covering more than 2,600 miles. Members of the Reds will be fanning out on different buses that will simultaneously travel on three separate legs.
All fan stops are free and open to the public. At most visits, the groups will take time for question-and-answer sessions, pictures and autographs.
Each stop will also feature a raffle of two tickets to the March 31 Opening Day game vs. the Brewers at Great American Ball Park.
You can see the schedules and participants here. Looks like a good group. I’ll try to make it to the Lexington stop, so let me know if you plan to attend.
