Former General Manager Pat Gillick has been named to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Expansion Era Committee. Gillick received votes on 81.2% of the ballots in being the sole 2010 selection. Gillick received 13 of 16 possible votes, with former players’ union represetative Marvin Miller falling one vote short of the necessary 12 votes required for election.

The leading player vote-getter was former Reds shortstop Dave Concepcion, who received eight votes (50%), four votes short of election. Hall of Famers Johnny Bench and Tony Perez, both former Reds and Concepcion teammates, were two of the 16 members of the committee.
