There are a million reasons to be excited by the development of Aroldis Chapman, not the least of which is that he throws harder than anyone in the world and he wears a Cincinnati Reds uniform. That’s enough to make me dance the jig.

If you want another reason, however, check out this scout’s assessment:

A scout who witnessed Chapman’s first two outings remarked, “The National League playoffs just changed.”

“Everyone was there going, ‘Uh-oh,’” the scout says. “All you can say is, ‘Uh-oh.’”

I’m smiling right now, in case you can’t see me.

Go read that entire article, as there is more good information from Ken Rosenthal on Chapman, Edinson Volquez, Dusty Baker, and a neat anecdote about Joey Votto and Albert Pujols.
