Zach Cozart went 3-4 with a single, double, and a homerun.  The homerun was his 13th of the season.  He also scored twice and drove in 2 RBI.  Chris Valaika added a single and a double in 4 at-bats, driving in an RBI.
Sam LeCure, the player of the day, improved to 6-2 with the win.

The first 3 batters in the Mudcats lineup had 2 hits each.  Kris Negron went 2-3 with a triple, RBI, and 2 runs scored.  Felix Perez went 2-4 with a homerun, his 1st with Carolina.  Finally, Sean Henry had a single and a double in 4 at-bats.  He also drove in 2 RBI.
Lee Tabor picked up the win in relief to improve to 3-0 on the season.  Lee went 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits while striking out 2.
High A
Lynchburg had a scheduled day off on Sunday.

Didi Gregorius went 2-5 with 2 runs scored while Alex Oliveras went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
Jacob Johnson picked up the win after allowing 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in 6.1 innings pitched.  He struck out 7 and improved to 5-6 on the season.

Jefry Sierra and Donald Lutz each went 2-5 with a run scored. ÂÂ
Daniel Tuttle picked up the loss by allowing 7 runs on 10 hits in only 4 innings pitched.
David Vidal and Robert Maddox were each 3-5 with 2 runs scored.  Vidal had a double and 2 RBI while Maddox added a triple.  Stephen Hunt went 2-5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.  Junior Arias raised his average to .372 and had a 1.038 OPS in 94 at-bats after a 2-5 game.  He also scored twice giving him 28 runs scored in 22 games.
