Who else? Votto hit .314/.421/.608 in June, with 8 HR, 4 doubles, 22 RBI, and 17 walks. Toss in a couple of great clutch homers, and you have a fine month.

In the race for the Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month for June, we have two first-time winners.

Hitter of the Month
For the first time in 2010, a hitter other than Devin Mesoraco has won this award. Congratulations to Dayton’s Cameron Satterwhite. The 23 year old outfielder hit .374/.400/.626 in June, with 4 HR, 16 RBI, and 11 doubles. Great month!

Pitcher of the Month
June’s Minor League Pitcher of the Month is Lynchburg’s Donnie Joseph. The 22 year old lefthander posted a sterling 1.32 ERA on the month with a 0.80 WHIP and a K/BB ratio of 24 to 5.
