When I quit paying attention last night, the Cardinals were leading the Rockies 9-2 in the seventh inning, and had resigned myself to seeing Cincinnati’s lead in the NL Central shrink to one game.
Only Nelson Muntz can adequately convey my feelings upon waking up and seeing that the Cardinals blew it, giving up 9 runs in the ninth inning. I thought only the Reds collapsed like that.
Not this year….
(By the way, for the first time in the 5+ years Redleg Nation has been in existence, I just created a “Scoreboard Watching” category. We’ve never needed that category before. I don’t think I’m getting ahead of myself. Do you?)
