Louisville 6 – Indianapolis 0; Game 1

Chad Reineke threw 5 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits but walking 4 to improve to 5-6 on the season.  He struck out 3 and lowered his ERA to 3.01 on the season.

Yonder Alonso and Chris Valaika each homered and drove in 2 RBI.  Alonso was 2-4 and added a double and a run scored.  Valaika added two base on balls to his 1-2 night.  Todd Frazier went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a run scored.

Louisville 1 – Indianapolis 0; Game 2

Ben Jukich pitched 5 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4.  Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless inning of relief, walking a batter and striking out one.

Yonder Alonso drove in the lone RBI, scoring Gary Matthews Jr who went 2-3 with a double.


Carolina 7 – Chattanooga 2

Tom Cochran pitched 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, but picked up the win to improve to 6-3 on the season.

Mike Costanzo went 3-5 with a double, RBI, and 2 runs scored.  Dave Sappelt and Kris Negron had 2 hits each.  Sappelt had a double and 2 RBI while Negron had 2 singles and scored a run.

High A

Winston Salem 5 – Lynchburg 3

Brodie Greene, Neftali Soto, and Shane Carlson each had 2 hits in this game, unfortunately all were singles.  Carlson added an RBI.

Donnie Joseph pitched a scoreless inning of relief and has now pitched 40 innings this season, allowing only 5 earned runs over two levels.


Dayton 6 – West Michigan 5

Henry Rodriguez hit his 8th homerun of the season and drove in 3 RBI.  Cody Means went 3-4 with 3 singles, a run scored, and an RBI.  Didi Gregorius went 2-5 and scored a run.

Tim Crabbe struck out 5 over 6 innings to improve to 2-1 with the Dragons.  Crabbe allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk.


The game between Billings and Great Falls was postponed.

The AZL Reds had a scheduled day off on Monday.
