Arthur Rhodes has been noticed by the baseball-reference.com blog for his exceptional performance:

Closer or not, it’s unfathomable to think that he won’t get all-star consideration. For those who don’t know (and I was one who didn’t know), Rhodes finished 20th in the MVP voting in 1997 when he went 10-3 with a 3.02 ERA while pitching 95 innings of relief while with the Baltimore Orioles. He was a middle reliever then, too. He had six saves that season.
