Zach Cozart hit his 8th homerun and drove in 3 RBI in a 1-4 game.  Chris Valaika raised his line to .310/.342/.386 thanks to a 2-4 game.  Valaika had 2 singles and scored a run.
Homer Bailey was not very good.  Homer allowed 5 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in 4.1 innings pitched.  In his first rehab start since his injury, Bailey struck out 3.  However Bailey did not pick up the loss, Jared Burton did.  Burton allowed 2 runs on 1 hit and a walk in the 8th inning to fall to 1-1 on the season.

Denis Phipps was 2-5 with an RBI and a run scored while Jose Castro had 2 singles in 5 at-bats as well.
Tom Cochran pitched 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits while striking out 4.  Cochran did not get a decision, but lowered his ERA to 2.75 in 59.0 innings pitched and is 2-2 on the season.
High A
Kevyn Feiner went 2-4 with a single and his 1st homerun of the season.  He scored two runs and drove in one.  Neftali Soto also homered in the game, his 8th of the season.  Josh Fellhauer had a double and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.  He had an RBI and scored twice.
Andrew Bowman picked up the loss in relief by allowing 5 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in just .2 innings pitched.  Bowman is now 1-3 with a 6.60 ERA.

Didi Gregorius went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles.  He also had 2 RBI and scored a run.  Josh Garton also had a triple and a single in a 2-4 game.  He had 1 RBI.  Frank Pfister was 2-4 with a single and a double.
Ricky Bowen pitched 5 scoreless innings in his start, scattering only 2 hits and striking out 6.  The outing was only Ricky’s fourth of the season and his first start.  He has had a nice first 12 innings of the season, recording 17 strikeouts compared to only 2 walks.  Last season he logged only 14.1 innings, striking out 16 but walking 16 as well.  Bowen was the Reds 43rd round draft pick in the 2009 draft.
