The offense made up for it in game 2 of the double header. Yonder Alonso went 2-4 with 2 doubles, a run scored, and 3 RBI.  Michael Griffin, Chris Denove, and Chris Valaika joined Burke with 3 hits in this game. Griffin had 3 singles, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Denove also singled 3 times and scored 2 runs. Valaika had 2 singles and a double, scored twice, and drove in 2 runs.

Devin Mesoraco homered again, his 2nd in Carolina, for his only hit in 3 at-bats.
Travis Webb struck out 7 over 5 innings, but allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks to pick up the loss.

Neftali Soto had a single, homerun, and scored twice in 4 at-bats. Kyle Day had a 1-4 day but drove in 2 RBI.
