Unless it’s a campaign to DFA Willy Taveras or Free Paul Janish, I don’t usually get behind very many causes. This really disappointed me, though:
Although the Reds are fighting for the top spot in the National League Central, they were not able to get any of its position players among the top contenders for NL All-Star votes.
No Reds infielders were listed among the top five in balloting and no outfielders were in the top 10.
We need to do something about this. We really need to support a campaign to get Joey Votto elected to the All-Star Game. Yes, I know Albert Pujols is the greatest hitter in the universe, and he’s also a National League 1B. Don’t care. We gotta have Votto:
Batting .307 with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs this season, Joey Votto’s numbers rank highly among NL first baseman. He is No. 1 in batting, homers, total bases (91) and slugging percentage (.548).
If you are at the ballpark, vote for Votto as many times as you can. More importantly, click here to vote up to 25 times for each e-mail address that you have.
Vote Votto!
