Let’s recap tonight’s titanic struggle….

Cincinnati 3
Cleveland 4
WP: Huff (2-6)
LP: Herrera (0-2)
S: Wood (1)

–Though I can’t find a ton of negatives in this game, Scott Rolen was really the only positive. The old guy went 2-3 with two homers, 3 RBI, and a walk. Just an outstanding day at the plate.

–Homer Bailey left the game in the third with tightness in his right shoulder. He will be evaluated tomorrow in Cincinnati. Homer claims it isn’t anything, and Dusty Baker said Bailey was removed as a precautionary measure…but I’m still very worried.

–It could’ve been worse, as losses go. The Reds battled and the bullpen, with the exception of Daniel Ray Herrera (who got a bit roughed up again, and took the loss), did a decent job of holding the game together.

–Orlando Cabrera became the 33rd active player with 900 or more runs.

–I will take two out of three in Cleveland, even though the Reds dropped back to second place when the Cards won today. Stupid Cardinals. Still, not a bad series after the Atlanta debacle.

–Reds return home tomorrow to face Pittsburgh. That could be a fun series.
