Minor League Play of the Day: Wladimir Balentien with his 2-2 night with a homer. Pretty slim pickins last night.

Louisville 4 – Lehigh Valley 2

28 year old Wladimir Balentien went 2-2 with a homer, 2 walks, and scored 2 of the 4 Bat runs.

27 year old Drew Sutton went 3-3 with a double and drove in 2 runs. On the season he’s only hitting .241/.315/.348, but over the last 10 games he’s .379/.500/.517. Is there anyone that doesn’t think he could do as good a job as Cairo?

22 year old Aroldis Chapman got the win for Louisville (4-2), throwing 5 2/3, giving up 3 hits, 0 runs, walking 3 and striking out 7. He lowered his ERA to 3.98. His walks per 9 innings is still almost 6.

Jacksonville 4 – Carolina 3

27 year old Sean Danielson was the only multihit Mudcat, with two singles.

25 year old Travis Webb struggled in his 4th AA start, giving up 4 runs in 5 innings, but he walked 6.

Krebs, Valiquette, and Smith threw 4 shutout innings for the Mudcats.

Wilmington 8 – Lynchburg 2

24 year old Mark Serrano started and threw 2 scoreless innings, but for some reason left the game at that point, I don’t know why at this point.

Aaron’s 27 year old brother, Daryl Harang, promptly came in and threw gas on the fire…going 3 1/3 giving up 8 earned runs on 9 hits and raising his ERA to 12.15. Why is a 27 year old guy on an A ball roster?

Lansing 9 – Dayton 3

Former IU football player, 22 year old Andrew Means raised his BA back over the .300 mark with a 3-4 night (double), but his OBP is still only .322. (3 walks in 144 PA).
