–Good Bronson showed up, and he was simply brilliant. Seven innings, five hits, one run. Great stuff.
–Scott Rolen had a couple of hits, including the RBI double in the 8th that provided the winning margin.
–Arthur Rhodes is THE MAN. I just cannot wrap my brain around how good this old guy has been since joining the Reds.
–TOS*. But who cares when they win?
–Hey, the Reds can beat the Pirates! I wasn’t entirely sure Cincinnati was capable of that.
–Ryan Hanigan reached base twice in four at-bats (two walks)…and his OBP dropped to .509. That’s crazy.
–Jonny Gomes, who has been on fire recently, didn’t get the start last night. He did, however, get a chance to pinch-hit…and promptly delivered a hit.
–That’s three wins in a row since I made my declaration that I couldn’t bear to watch this team anymore. I sense a trend emerging.
*This Offense Stinks.
