Columbus 4 – Louisville  3; final 10

Danny Dorn went 1-3, hitting his 2nd homerun in 2 days, giving him 3 homeruns on the season.  Zack Cozart was the only Louisville player with 2 hits, going 2-4 with a run scored.  Juan Francisco went 0-5, adding 3 more strikeouts to his growing total.  Juan is now 0-8 in 2 games with 5 strikeouts.

Sam LeCure got the start and had some issues with his control.  Sam walked 5 and allowed 5 hits in 4.1 innings pitched.  He allowed 2 runs and struck out 2.  Thus far, LeCure has walked 7 in 9.1 innings this season.  He averaged roughly 3 walks per 9 innings last season.

Salem 2 – Lynchburg 1

Devin Mesoraco went 1-4 with a double and an rbi.  Devin also struck out twice.  It is still early, but Mesoraco has hit safely in 3 of the first 4 games and has drawn a walk in 3 of 4 as well.

Lance Janke (14th round pick in 2008) made his first start of the season and pitched well, but picked up the loss.  Janke allowed 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3 in 6 innings of work. Andrew Bowman (5th round pick in 2007) pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing 1 hit and walking 1 while striking out 4.


Bowling Green 3 – Dayton 1

The dreams of an undefeated season went down in flames with the bullpen.  The now 5-1 Dayton Dragons allowed 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th for the loss.  Josh Ravin (5th round; 2006) pitched 5 scoreless innings in the start, allowing 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3.

Andrew Means (11th round 2008) went 2-4 for the Dragons with a double.
