Tom Cochran gets the win, going 6 IP giving up 2 R, 1 ER, on 3 H and 2 BB with 7 K. Jerry Gil, Jesus Delgado, and Jordan Smith each add a scoreless inning of relief. Jordan Smith picks up his 2nd save of the season.

High A

Lynchburg 4 – Frederick 3 (DH Game 1, 7 Innings)

Josh Fellhauer went 2 for 3 with a HR. Carlos Mendez went 2 for 2 with a BB. Devin Mesoraco went 1 for 2 with a BB. Kyle Day doubled.

Curtis Partch gets the win, going 5 IP allowing 1 R on 7 H and 0 BB with 3 K. Mace Thurman picks up his 2nd save.

Frederick 9 – Lynchburg 1 (DH Game 2, 8 Innings)

David Sappelt went 1 for 3 with a 2B and a BB. Kyle Day went 1 for 2 with a 2B and a BB.

    Juan Francisco will be part of these Down on the Farm reports any day now…It’s not just that he struck out 4x’s yesterday, It’s how bad he looked doing it.

    Yeah, Francisco to Louisville and add Leake seems to be the consensus for the 25 man roster move coming today. The more interesting move will be who will be coming off of the 40 man roster to make room for Leake?

    Byron Wiley’s HR for Dayton last night was the worst call I’ve ever seen…the ball hit on the warning track and the ump called it a home run when it hit above the yellow line (after bouncing on the WT). The only thing I can figure is he was running towards the OF with his head down and looked up after it hit and bounced up…AWFUL call.
