Really nice profile of Aroldis Chapman here, focusing on his adjustment to life in America. The last two paragraphs, in particular, paint a stark picture of the differences between living in the US and living in Cuba.

This is another reason why I hope the Reds don’t jump the gun and add Chapman to the Opening Day roster. This kid has a lot to learn — not just about baseball, but about life as a baseball player in this country. Seems like the learning curve would be much steeper if Chapman were in the big leagues, with that spotlight focusing on him all the time. In Carolina or Louisville, the lights are a bit dimmer, allowing the kid to ease into this career.
