Unfortunately, Scott Rolen’s veteran leadership can only work its magic at the major league level, apparently.

Can they exchange Francisco’s frying pan for a third-baseman’s glove while he’s in the minors so we don’t have to hear about another defensive liability at 3B who’s “still young” and “still learning” and “has plenty of time to improve” at the major league level? Or just put him in the OF and hush?

Francisco is getting it done at the plate. The leftfield start might be a harbinger of things to come!

We’ll see what happens this weekend. Rolen is with Louisville 1 more day and since they’re playing Indianapolis, there is no DH spot available.

Jaun Fran continues to MASH, though. I’m not sure if the LF start was a harbinger or just to make room foer Rolen’s ABs.

I thought maybe his 36 errors and the fact that Rolen stands in his way at third might be what has created the harbinger. A Balletein/Dickerson leftfield platoon might put up some power numbers.

Do you suppose the word harbinger has been used this many times on Redleg Nation in a day.
