We’re seeing Barnhart’s (GCL – C) name show up on the defensive side a lot, too. Yesterday he picked a runner off first base.

The catching in the system needed a boost. The Barnhart start, offensively and defensively, is good to see in light of the season(s) Mesaraco has had. I thought maybe the Weems acquisition might be the answer but other than hitting lefty he has really no special attributes.

For being a non-future factor for the Reds and in the Big Leagues, as many so called experts have stated, Juan Francisco couldn’t have started a AAA career much better.

  3. RiverCity Redleg

Three straight games with a HR for Francisco. and batting over .400, pretty impressive.
