Francisco made his 36th error tonight, just as a point of reference, the most EE ever made in the minors was 33 (in 119 games) as a 19 year old at Dayton.

I would like to see Fransisco get traded to an AL team because I don’t see how he is going to make it in the field. 1B could be an option but he is going to be blocked by Votto and/or Alonso. OF is probably out of the question because he is so heavy. The guy can hit for power, but there just isn’t anywhere to play him in the field. Plus he is taking up a spot on the 40 man when he has no chance at playing in the ML right now.

Valaika seems to be coming on strong at the plate lately. Hopefully he can continue and finish strong. Though, I think he is still hitting around the Mendoza for the year.

Free Darnell McDonald – D Mac has been on fire.

I wish we knew the asking pricing for the Angels Brandon Wood – Francisco for Wood might be something they would go for.

Tucker Barnhart has started in 3 straight games for the GCL Reds since signing – two at DH and last night at catcher. Twice batting #2 and once batting #3. He picked up his first hit last night.

There were a few quotes in the latest Indinanapolis Star article (before he started playing) that he wasn’t sure if the Reds were leaving him behind the plate or not.

Ramon Ramirez pitched in relief last night. I could see Ramirez making the team in a long relief role next year.

Bite your tongue RiveryCity. Not even in jest. How about let’s just see if we can trade him? He’ll sneak through waivers right?

I hope Francisco ends the season on a tear… mainly just to increase his trade value. 😉

Between the errors and the god-awful K-to-BB ratio, I do not think he’ll ever be worth anything at the MLB level. I know he’s young, but I really think this.

I’d trade him in a heartbeat if there are those out there enamored by his youth and his prodigious power.
