Time for a recap of tonight’s titanic struggle….

Cincinnati 2
St. Louis 5
WP: Carpenter (12-3)
LP: Bailey (2-4)
S: Franklin (28)

–Chris Dickerson had three hits and scored a run from the leadoff spot. His OBP is .368. There is no reason whatsoever why Dickerson shouldn’t at least be platooning in CF right now. Truthfully, he should be starting over the current centerfielder every single day.

–Homer Bailey was hit hard by a shot off the bat of Albert Pujols and had to leave the game after giving up three hits and failing to record an out. Sheesh.

–Dickerson’s batting average is higher than Willy Taveras’s on-base percentage. Think about that for a moment.

–Reds go to Washington come home now to play the hot Nationals Nationals. I’m more than a little concerned about this series.
