Triple – A
Chris Heisey hit his 4th homerun in Louisville (17th of the season) in a 2-5 game. Heisey had 2 rbis and scored 2 runs. Danny Dorn went 2-4 with a double and an rbi. Wes Bankston went 1-5 but scored a run and drove in 2.ÂÂ
Jared Burton pitched a scoreless 8th inning which gave him the win. Burton is 3-0 in Louisville with a 0.82 ERA. Sam LeCure made the start and went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3.
Double – A
Jose Castro went 3-4 with 3 singles, a run scored, and an rbi. Todd Frazier supplied the big blow by belting his 13th homerun of the season in a 1-4 game. Frazier had just 1 hit, but drove in 3 rbis and scored a run.
Greg Atencio pitched a scoreless 8th inning for his first win of the season. Sean Watson pitched a scoreless 9th inning for his 5th save on the year.
Class A Advanced
Jason Louwsma had a single and an rbi. The Reds managed just 3 hits as a team.
Matt Fairel dropped to 1-2 with the Reds with the loss. Fairel allowed 5 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings pitched. He struck out 3.
Single – A
Tony Brown’s grand slam in the 3rd inning capped off a 7-run inning for the Dragons who hung on to a 10-9 win. Brown went 2-4 with the 4 rbis and run scored. Alexis Oliveras went 3-6 with 3 singles and 3 strikeouts. Cody Puckett and Kevyn Feiner had 2 hits each. Puckett went 2-5 with a double, 2 runs scored, an rbi, and 2 stolen bases. Feiner went 2-5 with a run scored and a stolen base.
Chase Ware pitched 4.1 innings of relief, allowing 1 run on 3 hits and a walk to pick up the win. The win is Ware’s first of the season.
Rookie Leagues
Despite having 15 hits, the Reds still could not score enough runs to win. Trey Manz went 3-4 with a double, homerun, 2 rbis, and a run scored. Carter Morrison, Billy Hamilton, and Jefry Sierra each went 2-5. Morrison and Sierra each had an rbi while Hamilton tripled and scored a run.
Matteo Pizziconi gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk in 2 innings of relief to pick up his first loss of the year.ÂÂ
