Triple – A
Darnell McDonald went 3-5 with a run scored.  Kevin Barker hit a grand slam in the 8th inning that supplied most of the Bats offense in the loss.  The homerun was Barker’s 18th of the season.  Corky Miller went 1-3 with a double and 2 runs scored.
Matt Maloney was roughed up and picked up the loss, dropping to 7-7 on the season. In 4 innings of work, Maloney allowed 8 runs (though only 3 were earned) on 11 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3.  Ramon Ramirez pitched 3 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit while striking out 3.
Double – A
Carson Kainer was 2-4 with a double on a night in which the Mudcats offense managed only 5 hits, struck out a combined 11 times, and drew on 3 walks.
Lee Tabor allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings pitched.  His record dropped to 1-2 and he now has a 3.13 ERA.  Enerio Del Rosario pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings to close the game, allowing 1 hit while striking out 4.
Class A Advanced
Devin Mesoraco went 2-3 with a double and drove in the only run of the game.  Alex Buchholz went 1-3, scoring the only run. Dave Sappelt added 2 singles in 4 at-bats for the Reds in the victory.
Luis Montano bumped his record to 8-9 on the season by pitching 8 scoreless innings.  Montano allowed 6 hits and a walk while striking out 2.  Mace Thurman picked up his 6th save of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th.  Thurman struck out 2 and now has an ERA of 1.71.
Single – A
Josh Fellhauer went 3-5 with a double, homerun, rbi, and run scored.  For Josh, the homerun was his 4th of the season. ÂÂ
Oscar Castro allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks over 5 innings in the start.  Castro struck out 2, but did not factor into the decision.  Jordan Hotchkiss picked up his 4th loss of the season by allowing a run on 2 hits and 2 walks in 3.1 innings of relief.  Jordan struck out 4.
Rookie Leagues
The Reds had 14 hits and were also benefited by 5 Rays errors in the easy win.  Theodis Bowe had 4 singles in 5 at-bats as well as scoring a run for the Reds.  Bowe also stole his 14th base of the season.  Cristobal Rodriguez went 3-4 with a  double and 2 runs scored. Henry Rodriguez went 2-4 with 2 singles and 3 runs scored.  Finally, Billy Hamilton had 2 singles in 4 at-bats, scored a run and drove in 2.ÂÂ
Alexander Smit pitched 3 scoreless, hitless innings in the start.  Smith struck out 2 in the no-decision.  Mitchell Clark followed that by pitching 3 scoreless, hitless innings of his own to pick up his first win of the season. Clark walked 1 and struck out 4. ÂÂ
Yorman Rodriguez went  2-4 with a double, homerun, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs  batted in.  Maurecio Pimentel went 2-4 with an rbi while Mariekson Gregorius went 2-3 with 2 singles.
Shea Snowden pitched 6 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and walking 3 to pick up the win.  Snowden struck out 7 and is now 2-2 on the season.
