Matt Fairel continues to put up nice numbers in Dayton.

Was Yorman Rodriguez promoted to Billings, or is this a temporary move? After 84 GCL at-bats w/o a homerun, he goes and hits his first professional homerun in his first game with Billings. Congrats Yorman!

I saw Todd Frazier was playing 2nd….hmmm?

So what is the plan for Frazier? The guy can play anywhere across the IF and both corner OF spots, been playing LF most of the year. Was the plan all along to groom him for the LF RH bat spot they can’t seem to fill. If so, what is the plan for 1B when Alonso gets back from his wrist injury, if Frazier is in LF, Votto can’t move out there to make room for Alonso at 1B. Also, why are they continuing to waste time with Francisco at 3B? He has 30 Es already and is making Encarnacion look like a gold glover. Either he can play 1B or they might as well deal him to an American league club where he can DH if his bat is good enough to get him to the bigs. The guy don’t know how to take a pitch either.

All good questions Tom…I think some of this will be answered in the off-season (or sooner, if the Reds make this ill-advised Scott Rolen deal that’s being talked about). Some guys are going to have to go to alleviate the log jam at 1B and in the OF. Which is funny b/c just last year (I think), I was saying that if I was Frazier, I’d be begging to be moved to the OF as that seemed the fastest route to the big leagues.
