–Relevant to the Reds or not? You decide…but Joe Poz says “Winners win and losers complain about injuries.”
–Speaking of the Minor Leagues, this is today’s must-read. It’s a profile of Reds farmhand Todd Frazier who, as you may know, was the star of the Toms River, NJ, team that won the Little League World Series in 1998. (Tip of the cap to C. Trent.)
You may remember that I was very complimentary of Frazier when I saw him playing for Carolina last month. In fact, my comments were fairly closely echoed by Frazier’s hitting coach:
“He has the ‘IT’ factor,” said Carolina hitting coach Ryan Jackson. “There’s no question in my mind that he’s going to be a major league ballplayer. The pure determination and character of this guy is going to get him to the big leagues.”
I love this kid.
