Triple – A
Louisville 15 – Indianapolis 1
While the Reds were getting hammered, the Bats were taking it out on the Indians. Kevin Barker went 4-6 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and drove in 4 rbis.  Barker now has 38 rbis on the season.  Darnell McDonald went 4-5 to push his AAA average to .302.  McDonald was a homerun shy of the triple, but he scored 3 runs and drove in a run.  Chris Valaika went 3-4 with a double and a run scored.  Adam Rosales and Michael Griffin each homered in the game.  It was the only hit in the game for each player. ÂÂ
Finally it is worth noting that Drew Stubbs went 0-1 in the game, but scored 2 runs and drew 5 WALKS!  As a team, the Bats had 13 hits and drew 14 bases on balls.
The offense obviously overshadowed the game that Sam Lecure had on the mound. Lecure went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and no walks while striking out 8. Lecure improved to 7-5 on the season and lowered his ERA to 4.17 on the year. In his last 4 starts, Sam has allowed only 2 runs in 26.2 innings pitched.
Double – A
Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Matt Klinker made his 2nd start in Double – A, and his first start since being called up last week.  Klinker pitched outstanding, holding the Smokies scoreless over 6 innings.  Matt allowed only 3 hits and walked 1 while striking out 7.  Matt is now 2-0 for the Mudcats with a 1.50 ERA in those 2 starts.
Juan Francisco went 3-4, scored 2 runs, and hit a 3-run homer.  The homerun was Francisco’s 14th of the season.  Brian Peterson went 2-4 and belted a grand slam in the 8th inning for his first homerun in Carolina.  Jose Castro went 3-4 and fellow Spotlight Player Logan Parker went 2-3.
Class A Advanced
Devin Mesoraco was a perfect 3-3 at the plate in this one, hitting a double, scoring a run, and driving in 2 rbis.  Justin Reed went 2-4 and scored twice while Shane Carlson went 2-4 with a double and a run scored.
Justin Freeman picked up the loss in relief by allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in 1.1 innings pitched.  Freeman fell to 0-3 on the year and watched his ERA rise to 5.18.
Single – A
After the last meeting between these two teams that resulted in a 20-13 slugfest, it is nice to see a more traditional baseball score.  Kevyn Feiner went 3-4, scored a run, and drove in a run while Byron Wiley homered in a 1-2 night.  Wiley also drew 2 bases on balls.
Scott Gaffney pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his 4th win of the year.  Gaffney allowed 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 2.
