Triple – A

Pawtucket 3 – Louisville 0

The Bats got just 1 hit in the game.  All I can think of here is the line from the movie Major League from Harry Doyle.  Due to the language, I’ll keep from posting it but many of you are saying it to yourselves right now.

Double – A

Carolina 4 – Chattanooga 3

Juan Francisco hit his 8th and 9th homeruns of the season and led the Mudcats to victory.  Francisco went 2-4 with 3 runs batted in.  Chris Heisey went 3-4 in the game  with a run scored.  Heisey is now batting .358 on the season and is 8-12 in his last 3 games.  Finally, Todd Frazier went 2-4 in the game and is batting .302 on the season.

James Avery picked up a no-decision in the start.  Avery allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings pitched. Avery struck out 4.

Class A Advanced

Sarasota had a scheduled off-day on Monday.

Single – A

Dayton 12 – Burlington 2

Cody Puckett led the offensive surge for the Dragons by going 3-5 with a homerun, 2 doubles, 3 rbis, and 3 runs scored. Byron Wiley homered as well, going 1-3 with 2 rbis, 2 walks, and 3 runs scored. Humberto Sosa went 2-5 with 2 rbis and 2 runs scored and Dave Sappelt went 3-5 with a double and 2 runs scored.  

Curtis Partch improved to 3-3 on the season by pitching 5 scoreless innings.  Partch allowed 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 3.
