The Reds mounted a 9th inning comeback by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning for the win.  The Reds most recent first round draft picks led the charge.  Yonder Alonso went 1-2 with a run scored, double, and 2 walks and is now batting .282 on the season.  Devin Mesoraco went 2-4 with a run scored, double, and 2 rbis.  Devin is still below the Mendoza line, batting just .190 on the year.
Logan Ondrusek lowered his ERA to 0.96 on the season by pitching a scoreless top half of the 9th inning. He also picked up his 2nd win of the season, improving to 2-0.  In 18.2 innings pitched, Logan has allowed just 7 hits and 7 walks, holding opponents to a .117 average. ÂÂ
Single – A
Dayton 3 – Lansing 0; final 12
These two teams played 11 scoreless innings until a Miguel Rojas double plated 2 Dragons.  Rojas ended the game 2-6 with a run scored, double, and 2 runs batted in.  Rojas scored on a Kyle Day single later in the 12th. ÂÂ
It was a spectacular day of pitching for the Dragons.  J.C. Sulbaran went 6 innings in the start, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3.  Scott Gaffney came in and pitched 2 innings of relief, scattering a hit while striking out a batter.  Mace Thurman improved to 3-0 with the win in relief. Thurman pitched 4 innings of relief, allowing 3 hits and a walk while striking out 4.  So in total:  12 IP, 6 hits, 4 walks, 8 strikeouts and ZERO RUNS!
