Wilkin Castillo went 2-5 with one of those hits being the big blow.  In the botto of the 11th, Castillo belted a 3-run homer which accounted for the only scoring in the game.  Drew Stubbs went 3-5 in the contest with his 10th double of the season.  Stubbs is now batting .329/.409/.451 at Louisville with 10 doubles, 8 rbis, 11 walks, 18 strikeouts, and 10 stolen bases. 

Ramon Ramirez pitched great in the start, going 8 innings of shutout baseball.  He allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.

Double – A

Carolina had the day off.

Class A Advanced

Sarasota had the day off.

Single – A

Kane County 18 – Dayton 3

Frank Pfister went 2-4 with a double and an rbi while Byron Wiley went 1-3 with a solo homerun.  The homerun was Wiley’s first of the season.

The pitching for the Dragons was just flat out ugly.  The club only used 3 pitchers with each allowing at least 4 runs.
