Billy Werber, a hero on the great 1939-40 Reds teams (remember them?), a teammate of Babe Ruth, and the oldest ex-Major Leaguer has died at 100. We’ll remember Werber as a fine 3B, but we’ll try to forget that he was the Evil Empire‘s first basketball All-American.
