Watching the Phillies and Rays tonight, and seeing all the excitement at Citizen’s Bank Park (white flags waving, people going nuts)…all I can think is how much fun it is going to be at Great American Ballpark, if and when the Reds ever make it back to the World Series. I can guarantee I will be there, and it’s going to be a great atmosphere.

Gotta keep dreamin’….

This series is making me a Grant Balfour fan. A Grant Balfour fan in 2008 at least.

Chad…you’d better hope they still have wheelchair access.

Hopefully Bud Selig won’t be around to miss it up like this debacle.

Yahoo article had this classic movie line in their story of the game last night:

“I’d keep playing. I don’t think the heavy stuff’s gonna come down for quite a while.”—Bill Murray as greenskeeper Carl Spackler in “Caddyshack.”

the sad part is unless they shell out 40 million to fill the holes in CF, LF, SS, and C they have no chance in hell

How many years in row now have we heard that the defense needs shored up? Five, six, I really don’t know, I’ve lost count. Jocketty said it again already. I’ll believe it when I see it.

We can only hope that this year our defense was such a train wreck that management and the players won’t be able to look away this time, and they’ll actually do something about it.
