June 28, 1979: The Reds sell Ken Henderson to the Cubs, and trade Pedro Borbon to the Giants for Hector Cruz.

Angered by the trade, Borbon put a voodoo hex on the Reds. In Cincinnati for an old-timers game in 1990, Borbon removed the curse, and the Reds went on to win the world championship.
