May 7, 1978: The Reds play an unusual DH against the Expos at Riverfront, getting pounded 19-5 in the first game before winning the nightcap, 4-2. Pete Rose sat out the second game because of an upset stomach, which ended his club record streak of 678 consecutive games played.

Rose missed only 4 games in 11 seasons from 1972 through 1982.
