Who is Drew Stubbs going to have to murder to get some attention? The kid has been raking since being promoted. Certainly his strikeout to walk ratio is still high, and it is a small sample size, but he has been a bright spot for me. Dare I dream a plus defender with a decent OBP in center in 09?

Why does Adkins get no respect? He has been consistent all year, yet we have to watch Stomry and Lincoln blow games nightly. Give the guy a chance!

Stubbs is getting attention – he’could be on track for the Jay Bruce treatment next year, with a June call-up if he’s still hitting like he is now. The K’s point to a possible similarity to Bruce, in that he may have an initial difficulty with sustaining major-league success at the plate.

Adkins – as far as his consistency, didn’t he have a horrific streak in June & beginning of July? Something like a 9.00 ERA and a grouping of blown saves. Anyway, he turns 31 this week, and has an ERA in the high-3’s as a AAA reliever. That seems at best equivalent to Majewski.

Josh Ravin is having a tough time, isn’t he? Demoted and still getting clobbered. 3 wild pitches in 4 innings – he may throw hard but…
