We’re running a little late this month, but we want to announce the Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month for July, 2008.

OK … I was just over at another post discussing Corey Patterson’s OBP. What does it say to somelike like Chris Dickerson that C-Patt is still able to let’s just say provide an odoriferous environment to all around while Dickerson does a fine job in AAA and looks like he should be given a shot? Money talks, baby. I would say “so long” to C-Patt.

You have to believe that the Reds have decided they’re not going to spend any more $$…that’s the only reason I can see for Dickerson and Hanigan not being called up and Patterson and Bako still being Reds.

I want Walt to read this: BRING THE DANG KIDS UP WALT!!! THIS SEASON IS LOST!!!!!

Patterson is absoltuely worthless. Literally worthless. We might as well “take an out” when he bats and not even waste the time it takes for him to swing three 3x’s. If i was in the rookie league of the Reds organization I’d be mad that they are playing him over me!!

What happened to the plan of Patterson going down to AAA to work on some things? I remember he came back prematurely after someone got injured, but he’s not doing any better now then he was when he got sent down before.

I don’t think there are a lot of kids left in AAA to bring up.

I’d sure rather see Dickerson and Hanigan can do versus Patterson or Cabrera and Bako.

The existence of the Dickersons and Hanigans illustrate why you shouldn’t pay $3-4 million for 5th OFers and backup catchers.

As far as acutal prospects ready to take on a fulltime job in the majors, those guys are already up.

I am glad to see Dickerson showing something, I have never been impressed with him much, hopefully there is more of this in him.
