Louisville 10 – Toledo 8

A couple of Bats hitters had some nice offensive outputs in this one.  Adam Rosales went 4-5 with a double and a solo homerun.  The dinger was Adam’s 9th of the season.  Kevin Barker also homered, going 2-3 with 3 runs and 2 rbis.  Finally, Drew Anderson went 3-5 and was a homerun shy of the cycle.  Anderson scored a run and drove in 3.

Bobby Livingston picked up his first AAA win of the season by going 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks.  He struck out 5 and gave up 2 homeruns.

Chattanooga 12 – Birmingham 6

Drew Anderson was a perfect 5-5 at the plate with a double, run scored, and 2 rbis.  One of the hits was a homerun, Anderson’s 5th of the season.  Drew Stubbs and  Tonys Gutierrez each went 3-6.  Stubbs had 2 doubles, 2 rbis, and 2 runs scored.  Eric Eymann hit his 6th homerun of the season, drove in 3 runs, and scored 3 runs in a 2-4 night.  Total, the Lookouts scored 12 runs and compiled 20 hits.

Camilo Vazquez picked up the win, going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits.  He struck out 2.

Dunedin 4 – Sarasota 3

Matt Klinker’s second start wasn’t as good as his first Single A start.  In this one, Matt gave up 4 runs on 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings pitched to fall to 1-1 with the Reds.

Dan Perales went 3-4 with a triple and a run scored.  Juan Francisco hit homerun #16 on the season in a 2-5 game.

Dayton 2 - Fort Wayne 1

Jason Bour’s 2 run homerun in the 6th inning put the Dragons on top for good.  The homerun was Jason’s 5th of the season.  He also had a double in a 2-3 game.

Jeremy Horst got the start and picked up a no decision.  Horst gave up 1 run on 6 hits in 5 innings pitched.  He struck out 6.  Curtis Partch picked up the win in relief.  Partch gave up 1 hit and a walk while striking out 2 in 2 innings pitched.

Billings 7 – Helena 5

Byron Wiley went 2-4 with a double and an rbi while Carlos Mendez went 1-4, driving in 2.

Despite some control problems, Andrew Bowman improved to 2-0 on the season.  Bowman went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits and 5 walks while striking out 6.  After winning the first half of the season division standings with a 23-15 record, the Mustangs are off to an impressive 8-1 start to the second half of the season.

GCL Twins 6 – GCL Reds 2

Mauricio Pimentel went 2-5 with an rbi while Sameul Vasquez and Theodis Bowe each went 2-4 with a run scored.

Luis Machuca picked up the loss by giving up 3 runs on 5 hits in 4 innings pitched.  He struck out 2.
