Hey everyone,

The last couple weeks have been pretty exciting for myself and the Billings Mustangs. We are two games from the end of the first half of our season, yet we clinched the first half championship for our division with four games left to play with a record of 23-13. This team has shown a lot of strong character all ready this year, especially starting off with 14 games on the road and losing our top hitter and closer to promotions. This is definitely the deepest team I have played on, with different players stepping up every night. The team is going to have to play the second half without two members as Andrew Means (OF) and Will Hudgins (P) will both be leaving in two days to finish their college football careers at Indiana University and the University of Memphis respectively. Personally I have been very happy with my first half of the season, and look forward to developing some different parts of my game during the second half. I hit my first professional homerun last night against the Helena Brewers, which was extremely exciting for me. I’m sure everyone on the team is very happy with how we have started the season, but it is important for us to remember it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Hopefully we can keep playing at a high level and bring home a Pioneer League championship in September.
