Hey guys,
Just got done with a 7 game road trip in Utah where the team went 3-4. While we didn’t do as well as we had hoped, we are still sitting in first place in the North Division standings, holding a one game lead over the Great Falls Voyagers.
I saw a lot of playing time on the road, splitting time in right field and DH. I have also been hitting in the leadoff spot in the lineup after hitting in the 6 spot most of the season. I have limited experience hitting leadoff in my career (last 4 weeks of my college career), but I feel like I get more comfortable there every day.
One exciting event that happened on the trip was our hitting coach, Tony Jaramillo, left to be with his wife as she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. He will be rejoining the team tomorrow for our 7 game homestand, and I am sure he will be glowing with pride. Well, time for me to get some rest, the 12 hour bus ride through the night left me pretty tired.
