After yesterday’s discussion, this was interesting timing:

Outfielder Drew Stubbs, who began this season ranked among the top 100 prospects in minor league baseball according to Baseball America, was promoted Tuesday night to the Chattanooga Lookouts.

The first-round pick of the Cincinnati Reds in 2006, Stubbs was hitting .261 in 86 games this season at high Single-A Sarasota, collecting 21 doubles, five home runs and 38 RBIs. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound former University of Texas standout is taking the roster spot of Shaun Cumberland, who was promoted after Tuesday night’s game to Triple-A Louisville.
