Lehigh Valley 4 – Louisville 3
The Bats led early 3-0, but Homer Bailey had one bad inning. Bailey gave up 4 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings of work. He didn’t walk any and struck out 8. All 4 runs were scored in the 6th inning. Homer is now 4-7 with a 4.42 ERA in 93.2 innings pitched. He has 82 strikeouts and 38 walks.
Adam Rosales and Ryan Hanigan each had 2 hits. Rosales went 2-4 with a double, run scored, and rbi while Hanigan went 2-3 with 2 singles.
The Lookouts had a 3-2 lead going to the 8th, but watched as Mississippi scored 1 in the 8th to tie and another in the 9th to win. Sam Lecure started and pitched well. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings pitched. He also struck out 8. Pedro Viola pitcked up the loss by giving up a run on 3 hits in .2 innings pitched. He continues to struggle, falling to 1-6 and seeing his ERA go up to 6.00.
Eric Eymann led the offense by gonig 1-4 with a double and 2 rbis. The Lookouts struck out 10 times as a team.
Another 1 run loss. Jupiter scored a run in the bottom of the 9th to win this one. Camilo Vazquez got the start and went 5 innings, allowing 1 unearned run on 5 hits, 3 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Ruben Medina got the loss by allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 2 walks in .1 innings pitched.
The offense for the Reds managed just 3 hits total.
Justin Reed went 3-4 with a homerun, run scored, and 3 rbis. Reed’s 3 hits led the Dragons in a game in which Dayton managed 12 as a team. Neftali Soto, Logan Parker, Denis Phipps, and Angel Cabrera had 2 hits each. Soto had a double and scored 2 runs. Parker had a double and a triple, scored twice, and drove in a run. Cabrera had a double, rbi, and a run scored.
Jeremy Horst improved to 4-2 on the season by going 5 innings, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits while striking out 7.
