(This post was written by Tyler Stovall, one of Redleg Nation‘s Spotlight Players.)

Hey all,

I have the pleasure of being a spotlight player for Redleg Nation, and I am really looking forward to keeping everyone updated on my experience in the Cincinnati Reds organization. This is my first post of the season for Redleg Nation, with more to follow throughout the year.

My name is Tyler Stovall and I was the 2008 20th round pick of the Cincinnati Reds out of Central Michigan University. I was born and raised in Loveland, Ohio, and graduated from Moeller High School in 2004. I am currently playing for the Reds short-season A team in Billings Montana. We are currently tied for first place in our division with a 10-6 record, and just wrapped up a 14 day road trip to start the season.

After the road trip we returned to Billings to open the brand new Dehler Park in front of back to back sold out crowds. I will be living with a host family here in Billings throughout the summer, which is always a great experience. I hope to keep everyone updated on my personal progression this summer, the play of the team and the overall experience of my first year of minor league baseball. I’d like to thank everyone for checking this page and supporting me along this journey.
