December 28, 1957: Powel Crosley acknowledges the possibility that the Reds may leave Cincinnati. “My feelings are, ” said Crosley, “that at no time has the franchise been in as much jeopardy as it is now. We are in no obligation to stay here.” Crosley was discouraged by the progress of the city in buying and clearing land for parking spots near Crosley Field, and in finding a site for a new stadium.
