Here’s the DOTF report for the games of April 4, 2008:

Louisville vs. Syracuse (AAA) was postponed due to rain.

Chattanooga vs. Montgomery (AA) was postponed due to rain.

Fort Myers 6, Sarasota (3) (A+)

No one had more than one hit for the Sarasota Reds, and they couldn’t overcome the 5 run second inning allowed by pitcher Alexander Smit, a lefthander from the Netherlands.

SS Chris Valaika, CF Drew Stubbs, 3B Juan Francisco, and LF Sean Henry all had doubles. For Francisco, it was his fourth double of the young season. Francisco is now hitting .556 on the year.

Great Lakes 5, Dayton 4 (A)

Slugging 3B Brandon Waring is picking up where he left off last season. Waring went 3-4 with a HR and a couple of RBI. He’s now hitting .500. RF Denis Phipps had a couple of hits as well, including a double.

Unfortunately, the Dragons couldn’t overcome a poor start by pitcher Jamie Arneson, who gave up 4 runs on 6 hits in 4 innings.

Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Matt Klinker will make the start for the Dragons tonight at 7:05 pm.

UPDATE: No, Klinker won’t be making the start after all. I hadn’t seen that.
