For the love of everything that is good and pure, please don’t let this be true. Talk about a move that makes no sense.

Josh Fogg has never had a season in which he was better than the league average pitcher. That ain’t gonna change at age 31. And I’ll go on record right now as guaranteeing that his 2008 ERA will be worse than the ERAs posted by either Homer Bailey or Matt Belisle.

I’ve been supportive of almost every move GM Wayne Krivsky has made this off-season, but this is absurd. If the Reds start the season with Jeremy Affeldt and Josh Fogg in the starting rotation, I think I’m going to take a hostage.

But, hey, at least Fogg gives up a lot of homers. Maybe they can just give him Eric Milton’s jersey and get it over with.
