From the Enquirer:
Top Reds hitting prospect Jay Bruce left the U.S. World Cup team and returned home to Texas because of sore hamstrings.
Bruce has been bothered by sore hamstrings since late in the minor league season.
They began bothering him again in the Instructional League as he prepared to join Team USA.
“We didn’t want him to play if he wasn’t 100 percent,” Reds general manager Wayne Krivsky said.
Krivsky said the injury isn’t serious.
“He just needs to rest,” Krivsky said.
Let’s hope that Jay’s healthy and ready for Spring Training.
